Welcome to the Native Village of Old Harbor
AN ALUTIIQ VILLAGE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING A NURTURING SAFE, HEALTHY AND PRODUCTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR ELDERS; OUR FAMILIES; OUR CHILDREN; AND OUR CHILDRENS’ CHILDREN
The Old Harbor Tribal Council is a federally recognized Tribe, and was established in 1968, with a base roll of 333. The base roll has grown to 650 members.

The Native Village of Old Harbor is known for practicing its traditional Alutiiq culture and subsistence lifestyle. We are a community that relies on the natural resources of our surrounding sea and land environment for our livelihood.
Today, the community of Old Harbor has a modern airstrip, a harbor for its fishing fleet and the modern amenities of water, sewer, electricity, internet and satellite services, and is continuing to grow each year.
