The Native Village of Old Harbor Environmental Department is here to research environmental issues within our community, educate our people on those issues of concern and work with outside agencies to support us and help us find joint solutions for our environmental issues. Our department is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency through the IGAP grant, Indian General Assistance Program. Our mission is to protect our environment for our future.
As the Environmental Director, Bobbi Anne Barnowsky's responsibilities include the management the department and of environmental grants. She is currently working on the IGAP fiscal year 2012 grant and the Tribal Wildlife Nuniaq Taquka'aq Rehabilitation Plan grant.
Our department is responsible for three grants: IGAP, through the EPA; Tribal Wildlife Nuniaq Taquka'aq Rehabilitation Plan grant; and the RuralCAP Demonstration Backhaul Project.
Please feel free to contact our department if you have any questions or concerns.
Together we can protect our environment for the future.
